Recycling
There are three recycling areas in the parish. In Culgaith it is situated opposite the Recreation field, in Blencarn by the village hall and in Skirwith by the bus shelter. All three collect paper and card, glass bottles and jars, cans, textiles and foil. Plastics can be recycled at the Culgaith centre.
A Garden Waste Scheme operates in Culgaith with collections every fortnight (monthly in the winter). Positive Recycling operate a fortnightly village garden skip in Skirwith.
